It was first introduced to Taiwan in the 19th century. Gunpowder tea leaves are withered, steamed, rolled, and then dried. Loose Lead Brewing Instructions: Bring cold water to just under a boil (170º - 180º). Pour over one heaping teaspoon of tea leaves per cup and steep 1-3 minutes.
